Bharat Balance

Privacy policy

This policy explains what Bharat Balance collects, why, and what control you have. It is written by the Bharat Balance team in plain language and is not a substitute for legal advice.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and authentication metadata.
  • Transaction data: the rows you confirm from your statements — date, amount, credit/debit, narration, bank, and any UPI ID, counterparty name, mobile number or reference number contained in the statement.
  • People you create: names, notes and the aliases you map to them.
  • Upload metadata: file name, bank, status and row count.

We do not store the uploaded file itself, and we never store passwords of protected PDFs.

How we use it

Only to provide the product to you: extracting transactions, grouping them by person, and producing your filters, totals and charts. We do not use your financial data for advertising, profiling or resale.

Who processes it

  • Hosting, database and authentication — our managed cloud platform stores your account and transactions.
  • AI extraction — statement text is sent to our AI provider to convert lines into structured rows for your session.

These providers act on our instructions and are bound by their own security commitments.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays until you remove it. You can delete individual transactions or an entire upload batch from inside the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email support@bharatbalance.app. Deletion is permanent.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Send requests to support@bharatbalance.app from the email address on your account.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the storage required to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference. We do not run advertising trackers.

Children

Bharat Balance is not intended for anyone under 18.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and notify signed-in users.
